Little delicious chick peas snack

When you feel like having a little protein boost, this is the perfect replacement for store-bought protein bars — which are often overly sweet and full of preservatives and artificial sweeteners.
This snack is simple, clean, and actually healthy!
Ingredients
- 1 cup dried chickpeas (or use canned for a faster version)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste (I personally add A LOT — see picture!)
Instructions
- Soak the chickpeas
- Place the dried chickpeas in a bowl and cover with filtered water.
- Soak overnight (at least 8 hours).
- If using canned chickpeas, skip to step 3.
- Cook the chickpeas (if using dried)
- Drain the soaking water.
- Place the chickpeas in a pot and cover with fresh filtered water.
- Boil and cook until soft — this may take a few hours depending on the chickpeas.
- Season
- Drain the chickpeas.
- Sprinkle generously with salt and black pepper.
- Mix well.
